Approximately two years ago Ian Parker, together with label partners Aynsley Lister and Erja Lyytinen, made an album called "Pilgrimage”. For this project their record company sent them all the way to Clarksdale, Mississippi! To do recordings and for sniffing the right atmosphere. The British blues guy got inspired here for "Where I Belong”, of which the title track refers to this particular pilgrimage. That this young man is a natural talent is something we already knew, but more than on his previous three albums, he now found the perfect balance between swinging rock songs, compelling jewels and emotional ballads. We not only hear an outstanding, expressive guitarist and passionate singer on this record, but unlike other related artists he has also the talent to write songs that make a lasting impression. The just recently released single "Your Love Is My Home”, an intense, soul smash (hit) can easily become a big hit! Not that long ago Ian Siegal and Matt Schofield complained about the lousy English blues climate! However, the tide is turning! This more than potent record is the convincing proof!! "Oor Magazine"
